California Capital Airshow STEM Scholarship

The California Capital Airshow Scholarship was established to invest in future leaders by awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to pursue a degree or certification with a career path in the following areas: Aviation, Aeronautics, Airport Management, Aerospace, Industrial Arts, Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a high school senior in Sacramento, El Dorado, Yolo, Placer, Yuba, Sutter or Solano counties planning to attend a two (2) or four (4) year college or university, Vocational or Trade School in the fall
  • Be pursuing a college degree in the following areas of study: Aviation, Aeronautics, Airport Management, Aerospace, Industrial Arts, Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be enrolled full time in at least 12 academic units or equivalent per quarter/semester in the fall

Scholarship award may be used for the cost of attendance and educational expenses.

Essay: We want to understand your "Why" - what drives or motivates or inspires you to pursue a career in Aviation, Aeronautics, Airport Management, Aerospace, Industrial Arts, Science, Technology, Engineering or Math. Please tell us the story of how you arrived at this decision and then tell us what a perfect day might look like for you in 10 years.
  6. Letter of Reference: provide a letter of reference from an individual who you are not related to. The reference letter must identify the individuals name, title, and relationship to you.
