SVVMA Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Scholarship

The Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association (SVVMA) – Registered Veterinary Program (RVT) Scholarship was established to provide a scholarship to Veterinary Students in an RVT Veterinary Technology program accredited by AVMA/CVTEA. Students will be required to live in or attend a program/school in the greater Sacramento region (El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Yolo, counties). Applicants will need to demonstrate their participation in SVVMA/SVVTA activities and other veterinary groups (local VMA’s) and their geographic plans for practice after graduation. Preference will go to students who plan to practice in the greater Sacramento area after graduation.

Eligibility Requirements
• Open to Veterinary Technology students attending a RVT Veterinary Technology program accredited by AVMA/CVTEA in the current academic year
• Must live in or attend a program/school in the greater Sacramento region (El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Yolo, counties)
• Have a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale in a Registered Veterinary Program (RVT) program
• Demonstrate participation in organized veterinary medicine groups (local VMA’s) and/or SVVMA/SVVTA activities
• Demonstrate career goals after graduation

Scholarship award may be used for tuition, fees, books and educational supplies.
